Happy Black History Month!

(Sometimes referred to as February.)

May you perpetually slay, always find happiness, and continue to make history.

Every day of the month, AMCC will be posting about a black figure who made history! Anyone who has particularly inspired you? Let us know!

Day 1: Frederick Douglass

Frederick Douglass, born into slavery on February 20th, 1895, fought tirelessly to be able to read, and eventually broke many boundaries to become an orator, a writer, and statesman in addition to being an abolitionist.

“No man can put a chain about the ankle of his fellow man without at last finding the other end fastened about his own neck.”
