Comedy Night 2018

Al-Madinah Cultural Center presents to you our annual Comedy Night. We are excited to announce our headliner for the night will be Ramy Youssef, who made his network debut last year on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, with opening acts from Ahamed Weinberg and Nadirah Pierre.
Our event this year will be taking place at Northrop on the Carlson Family Stage on Sunday, March 25 from 6 – 10 pm. It is our great honor to be able to bring you an amazing show. Enjoy a night full of laughs with great comedians and even better company.

Nadirah Pierre
Nadirah Pierre is a 21 year old New Jersey resident. She is a college student at
Montclair State University and, most recently, a social media sensation. She uses
humorous wit and satire in order to shed light on issues that she faces in her
personal everyday life as well as issues that are prevalent in the Muslim and
African American communities. Fearlessly, she addresses real issues and says
what no one else will.

Ahamed Weinberg
Ahamed Weinberg is a Los Angeles based comedian from Philadelphia, who
recently made his late night stand up debut on Late Night w/ Seth Meyers (NBC).
He is one of Vulture’s 20 Comics to Watch and was awarded New Face at the
2016 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Credits include writing, directing, and
starring in Ahamed’s Ramadan Diaries (Comedy Central Digital), and appearing in
Comedy Bang Bang (IFC), The Eric Andre Show (Adult Swim), I Love You, America
(Hulu), Comedy Knockout (Tru TV), and Insecure (HBO). His film Lovebirds
premiered on Amazon Prime in November as part of their inaugural FunnyFest
short films festival, and he is currently developing a television show for Comedy
Central executive produced by Sarah Silverman and Reza Aslan.

Ramy Youssef
Ramy Youssef is a comedian and director from New Jersey. He will appear as a
reoccurring role in the third season of MR. ROBOT and just finished filming Gus
Van Sant’s DON’T WORRY. He was a series regular on Nick at Nite’s See Dad Run
with Scott Baio, and was most recently seen in the 20th Century Fox comedy,
WHY HIM? His sketch group, Inside Joke Films, has toured internationally and has
a large presence on YouTube. He has directed music videos such as Jet Lag
Gemini’s “Fit to be Tied,” which premiered on MTVu and Fuse, and was a featured
actor in BriTANick’s YouTube hit Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer. Ramy is
also the Artistic Director for the New York Arab American Comedy Festival and
the founder of the Middle Eastern sketch group, Sketchy Arabs.
